Generous employees from across Stagecoach West Scotland’s bus depots are donating their time and money to The Night Before Christmas Campaign by taking part in the famous fundraising event ‘Kiltwalk’ taking with taking place in Glasgow on Sunday 30 April 2023 which raises money for charitable causes.
Alongside the members of the Stagecoach West Scotland team who will be taking part, 50 volunteers from the Night Before Christmas will also be getting their steps in for the Kiltwalk events, with participants across all three Kiltwalk distances including The Mighty Stride (22.7 miles), The Big Stroll (14.4 miles) and The Wee Wander (3 miles). This year is deemed to be the biggest-ever Glasgow Kiltwalk and is sold out, with over 800 charities being supported.
The Night Before Christmas campaign was started in 2015 by Jodie McFarlane who was inspired by her daughter to provide gift boxes for local children who don’t receive any gifts at Christmas. Through the generous donations of local people, each year they manage to distribute thousands of boxes throughout the West of Scotland.
Participants will be travelling in style to and from the Glasgow Kiltwalk event on board a Stagecoach bus, kindly provided courtesy of Stagecoach West Scotland for volunteers.
Jodie McFarlane, who leads the Night Before Christmas charity, said:

They are also walking the Kiltwalk as part of our team and we are so grateful for their continued support. We are acutely aware that the cost-of-living crisis makes it very difficult for charities like ourselves to help the thousands of families who are referred to us each year and we rely on fundraising to continue to spread the magic of Christmas.
“We are looking forward to a fun filled day on 30th April as part of the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2023.”
